Travelling from Plymouth, Exeter, Totnes or the A38:
Head to the centre of Kingsbridge town.
With the estuary on your right, take the A379 road out of town towards Dartmouth.
Pass over the stone bridge taking you over the estuary
(you will see Noyces on your left after the bridge).
Stay on this road & drive through the villages of West Charleton, East Charleton (petrol station on your right in East Charleton) & on to the next village of Frogmore.
As you drop down the hill into Frogmore village you will pass The Globe Inn pub on your left.
Take the next right turn over a stone bridge (back over the estuary) signposted East Portlemouth & East Prawle.
After 1 mile at the top of the hill as the road levels & then drops slightly, you will see a left turn with a brown sign to FORD.
Turn left here & drop down the hill into the hamlet of FORD.
At the narrowest part (cottages either side) the road bends to the right.
Around that sharp bend is our Nursery, immediately on the left.
Field parking is just a few seconds further along past the Nursery gate, on the right hand side ( we will have bunting up to denote the entrance!)
PARKING AT HARE SPRING COTTAGE PLANTS
For our Nursery Open Weekends we operate a field parking facility – our directions will take you to this.
Please use this parking area to avoid clogging up our narrow lanes for passersby & residents of FORD.
The suggested minimum donation of £1 per vehicle is donated wholly to our local church.
Thank you!
HELPFUL NOTES!
Our postcode TQ7 2LN will find us
BUT! Satnav will take you down some VERY narrow lanes – so best to follow our directions here!
We have been made aware that there is a property called Hare Spring (or something similar!) in the village of Aveton Gifford – which is not us!
Our directions will help you avoid making the mistake of arriving there so strongly suggest you do not put Hare Spring into your Satnav!
You have been warned! 😊
PLEASE wear stout footwear on our working nursery
Dogs on short leads most welcome
Cash & card payments accepted
And finally! We very much look forward to welcoming you to our Nursery! Happy Gardening Stella & Malcolm Exley
