AfAB was set up to bring adults with Autism together as a social group with the aim of building confidence, developing meaningful connections and reducing isolation. Autism is sometimes referred to as the ‘hidden disability’ but it causes difficulties with everyday life.
We run a programme of social outings and get-togethers where people can enjoy doing new, creative and fun activities as part of a peer support group that offers opportunities to enable horizons to be expanded and issues around loneliness addressed that might not otherwise be available.
Hare Spring Cottage Plants support us by making donations via various events they hold and their range of Lupins bred at the nursery attract a donation to AfAB of 25p per plant sold. All donations help us to continue supporting our members by providing them with weekly activities.
Hare Spring Cottage Plants support us by making donations following fundraising activities at their open day events, they also donate 25p each time they sell one of their specially bred lupin plants. All donations help us to continue supporting our members by providing them with weekly activities.
